HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Ottawa County Sheriff's investigators say the suspect who robbed a 14-year-old girl at gunpoint in Holland Township now stands formally charged.
The crime occurred around 1 a.m. last Friday, April 5, in the Leisure Estates mobile home park, on Butternut Drive.
An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. Detectives say they arrested a 17-year-old suspect from Holland the same day, and he was arraigned Monday on an armed robbery charge. He remains in the Ottawa County Juvenile Detention Center.
Neither the 14 year-old victim nor the four juvenile friends with her at the time of the robbery were injured during this incident, according tot eh Sheriff's Office. It says they have since been reunited with their parents/caregivers.
