GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The suspect accused in a criminal complaint of possessing and distributing child pornography last week in Grand Rapids has waived his preliminary hearing today (Monday).
A clerk for U.S. District Judge Ray Kent in Grand Rapids told WOOD Radio that a future court date has not been set yet. Bradley Arkesteyn is accused of possessing and distributing child pornography. He was named in a criminal complaint that was unsealed last week.
The Forest Hills Public Schools district said the 28-year-old Rockford man worked as a custodian in some elementary school buildings. But there was no indication that any students were impacted by his activities. Arkesteyn reportedly chatted online with undercover officers in a Kik group chat.
Arkesteyn recently was placed on administrative leave by the school district.
