HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Holland Department of Public Safety says a 45-year-old man suffered serious injuries after being thrown off the hood of a car this afternoon.
It happened around 12:30 at the Wendy's Restaurant on East 16th Street.
Police say the Grand Haven man had been arguing with his 44-year-old wife inside a car. He got out, and she locked the doors. Police say she then started to drive out of the parking lot when the man jumped onto the hood. As the car made a turn onto a private drive, the man fell off and struck his head on the pavement.
He was taken to Zeeland Hospital. The woman was not injured.
The police investigation continues.
