This month, Kids' Food Basket is looking to raise awareness about child hunger and food insecurity by dressing in the color orange.
Orange is the official color that represents childhood hunger awareness. The nonprofit based out of Grand Rapids is hoping to generate as many donations as possible for "Go Orange" Day on March 22nd.
There are three separate events at Kids’ Food Basket locations where the public can help volunteer in Kent, Ottawa, Allegan and Muskegon counties.
