$1 million dollars will be added to the School Aid Fund if the winner of the lucky $1 million dollar ticket doesn't step forward within the next few hours.
On March 17th of last year, a $1 million Mega Millions ticket was sold at a CVS on West 10 Mile Road in Southfield, but it's yet to be claimed now almost an entire year later. The winning ticket matched all five white balls for the draw: 26, 28, 29, 39, 49.
Mega Millions tickets are valid for one year past the drawing date, but since March 17th will fall on a Sunday this year, the ticket must be claimed by the close of business Friday, which is today.
