As winters draws to a close, warmer than usual temperatures are having an impact on the state's fish population.
Fishermen who frequent the banks of the Grand River attest to seeing the impact the mild winter had on the fish firsthand, with fish populations also being confirmed by the Michigan DNR to be more abundant than usual at this time of year, with steelheads in particular to reach their peak by the end of month, despite showcasing low population numbers overall recently across the State.
