Interim administrator appointed by Ottawa County Board of Commissioners

The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners has officially appointed a new interim administrator after the firing of John Gibbs last month.

Today the board voted 5-4 to appoint Jon-Anderson, who was a sheriff's captain for years and is now the owner of a gun shop in Holland.

On Feb. 29th, the board voted 10-1 to terminate the contract of former County Administrator John Gibbs. Gibbs was placed on administrative leave Feb. 22nd following complaints about his behavior in the workplace.

Gibbs denies the allegations.
