MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. -- Muskegon Heights Police and the Michigan State Police are investigating a double-shooting late Monday afternoon on Temple Street near Lincoln Avenue.
Muskegon Central Dispatch had received a 9-1-1 call from a woman at 4:35 p.m., requesting an ambulance. When police arrived, they were told a 36-year-old man who had been shot was still inside the home. Later, they were notified that another gunshot victim had arrived at a hospital seeking treatment.
Muskegon Heights Police say that 19-year-old man was connected to the same incident on Temple Street. Both gunshot victims are now recovering from their wounds.

Detectives from the Muskegon Heights Police Department, along with Detectives from the Michigan State Police Muskegon (MSP) Major Crimes Initiative, were on the scene conducting the on-scene crime investigation.
Muskegon Heights Police received on the scene assistance from Roosevelt Park Police, Norton Shores Police, Muskegon Heights Fire, and Trinity Health EMS.
