Nearly 550 Perrigo workers will lose their jobs as part of a corporate restructuring. The pharmaceutical firm is headquartered in downtown Grand Rapids and has more than 9000 employees. In a news release Perrigo says it's all a part of a restructuring program called 'Project Energize'.
Perrigo says it figures its Project Energize's cost-cutting initiative will save the company more than 140-million dollars by 2026.
