GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A Michigan State Police escort is driving the body of a 28-year-old Marine killed in a training exercise from the Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Cascade Township to Traverse City.
Captain Miguel Nava was one of five Marines who died when their military helicopter crashed on February 6th east of San Diego. Nava was a 2013 Comstock Park High School graduate.
So far, nearly $280,000 has been donated on the TravisManion.org website. Captain Nava leaves behind a wife and baby son.
