New Meijer union contract means raises and more paid time off for employees

Thanks to new contracts ratified by union members, Meijer employees will now receive raises and receive more paid time off.

The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 951 (which is made up of more than 25,000 Meijer workers) ratified the contacts this week.

Michigan's right-to-work law took effect. Prior to the repeal, employees could not be obligated to join or pay for a union.
