GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The presidential primary election in Michigan on February 27 is now three weeks away.
Voters must select a Democratic or Republican ballot, unless they live in a school district where there is a school-related issue, such as Kentwood. Voters there may choose a non-partisan ballot.
The City of Grand Rapids has set up drop-box locations. There are some at city hall, and at 300 Ottawa Avenue. Also, there is a drive-thru drop box at Cook Library Center on Cesar Chavez Avenue. And there drop boxes at several Grand Rapids Public Library locations.
There are three choices for voting. You can vote early in person at an early-voting site, vote by mail with an absentee ballot or go to your precinct on Election Day. You may vote for a candidate listed on the ballot or choose to vote for an uncommitted or write in a candidate.
