The Michigan State Capitol was evacuated this morning after receiving a bomb threat.
Michigan State Police say they do not believe the threat to be credible, but evacuation was done as a precaution. Dogs were brought to sweep the building- and found nothing.
MSP say that the threat was emailed to a general account for the Michigan State Capitol Commision around 7:45 AM this morning.
Though no threat was determined, the building is expected to be closed for the remainder of the day.
This comes as other state capitol buildings also received threats this morning. The state capitols of Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi and Montana each received similar threats as well.
