GRPD seeks help to identify suspect vehicle connected to Nov. 6 homicides

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Grand Rapids Police are asking for the public's help in finding a vehicle that may have a connection to three shooting deaths on Nov. 6 in the Burton Heights neighborhood.

They are also looking for the owner of the black Chevy Equinox in connection with the killings that left the bodies of a man and woman on Melville Street SE late that morning: one near Horton Avenue and the other west of Francis Avenue. Later that same day, a man was found shot dead near Horton Avenue south of Burton Street, just before 4 p.m.

An SUV was seen that day on Melville Street. It was a Chevy Equinox that had a paper license plate in the upper right of the rear window and a sticker in the lower left corner of the forward passenger-side window.

GRPD asks that, if you have any information to help identify this vehicle, contact their detective unit at (616) 456-3380. Also, tips can be sent anonymously through Silent Observer at (616) 774-2345.
