West Ottawa High School 'Senior Survivor' Raises Money for Good Cause

Twelve West Ottawa High School seniors have been participating in their own version of the show 'Survivor'.

Since this past Sunday, the group of 12 students moved into the high school, where they will sleep, shower and play the game, all while attending their classes. The game itself is filled with all kinds of challenges, and the best part is the game raises money for WINWO, which stands for When In Need West Ottawa.

WINWO is a school-led assistance fund used for kids who are facing financial hardships within the district, and it can cover expenses ranging from boots to snowpants, and even pay for students' vision exams or glasses.

The game has already raised more than $39,000 this week alone.
