Student at Grandville High School Denies Writing Threatening Messages

A junior at Grandville High School says he's being falsely accused of writing threatening and racist messages at the school last week.

Because of his age, the 16 year-old has not been identified, but the boy has since been suspended from the school and now even potentially faces expulsion.

Following an investigation by Grandville police after a variety of offensive and threatening graffiti was found written in the school's restrooms on Dec. 11th, The Kent County Prosecutors Office charged him as a juvenile with making a false report of a threat of terrorism which is a felony, as well as making a threat, which is a misdemeanor.

The teen and his family claim that this is something he would never do. However, the evidence gathered, including handwriting samples, witness statements and camera footage showing he was the only student in all three bathrooms on those days, might say otherwise.

Despite this, the case is still pending at this time.
