Even amid a holiday season of good cheer and good will, there are still scrooges and Grinch's in the world just waiting for the opportune moment to strike.
According to a news release, just yesterday a Salvation Army red kettle and all the money inside was stolen from outside a Kroger in Jackson.
The Salvation Army has helped more than 22,000 people in the area utilizing proceeds from last year's charity drive; assisting with food, utility expenses and more.
