Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed a supplement spending bill this week that will fully fund a Kalamazoo County project meant to complete an interchange between two major highways.
The project will add a ramp connecting northbound US-131 to the eastbound Business 131 route and a second ramp connecting the Business route to southbound US-131.
The project is reportedly in its final stages in terms of design, before going up for bids late next year. A groundbreaking is expected to take place in the spring of 2025, with work taking about a year to finish.
