Ottawa Co. deputies investigate after 21 dogs found in Allendale Twp home

ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating an animal-neglect complaint in Allendale Township.

Deputies responded this week to the 11,000 block of Boyne Boulevard, and spotted numerous dogs inside the residence, but not the homeowner. They returned with a search warrant to the location near Lake Michigan Drive and east of 52nd Avenue.

Deputies say they recovered 21 Pomsky dogs of various ages. They were in fair health, but police say the living conditions inside the house were extremely poor.

The dogs were taken to Harbor Humane Society for additional care.

The Sheriff's Office is still investigating and asks anyone with more information related to this incident to contact the Sheriff's Office or Silent Observer.
