Classes at North Muskegon Public Schools Resume After Cybersecurity Breach

North Muskegon Public Schools returned to school today after a cybersecurity incident that occurred yesterday blocked access to phones and the internet.

In a Facebook post, the district assured parents, students and faculty that all essential safety features such as fire alarms and phone systems were fully operational, but that teachers would not yet be able to respond to emails, and that students would not be able to submit assignments digitally for the time being.

Investigation into the cybersecurity breach is being done by a digital forensic firm.
