MSP says driver of car taken to hospital after crash with school bus

EUREKA TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Michigan State Police are investigating a crash between a school bus and a car Friday morning in Montcalm County's Eureka Township.

Troopers from the MSP Lakeview Post are investigating.

They say it happened just before 7 o'clock when a car driven by a 19-year-old Lyons woman struck the back of the (Greenville Public Schools) bus while traveling westbound on County Farm Road near Backus Road.

MSP says the driver of the car was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries. There were no reports of injuries on the bus to the driver or students. There was no word on how many people were on board the bus at the time.

The students were loaded into another bus and then driven to Greenville Public Schools. Troopers say speeding and distracted driving may have been factors in the crash.
