GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The annual JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes gets rolling September 7th in Grand Rapids.
It will continue through September 10th. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's fundraising goal is $1.5 million, and nearly one-million dollars has been raised, so far, as of the time this story was posted.
The ride begins at Millennium Park and will pedal westward to Lake Michigan, on a route adjacent to the Grand River. It's a global effort to find a cure for Type-1 diabetes.
A separate event is scheduled for September 23rd in Allendale called the J-D-R-F "One Walk".
