Police: Body of man found in woods in Port Sheldon died from medical issue

PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A medical examiner has determined that a man whose body was found last night in Port Sheldon Township died due to medical issues.

That's according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, which says the man was 34 years old and had been living on Stanton Street near 146th Avenue. His body was found in a wooded area near that location, east of U.S. 31.

Police are not releasing his name until his family has been notified. The Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate and asks anyone with more information to contact it or Silent Observer.
