GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Kent County Sheriff's detectives say a citizen tip to Silent Observer has led to the arrest of a suspect in a bank robbery last week in Gaines Charter Township.
They identified him as a 41-year-old Grand Rapids man and have presented their case to the Kent County Prosecutor's Office for review.
After receiving the tip, police say they executed a search warrant on Burton Street near Division Avenue and found evidence related to the robbery. The Chase Bank branch on Kalamazoo Avenue south of 60th Street in Gaines Township was held up July 6th.
The suspect is being video-arraigned in 63rd District Court today.
