Kent Co Sheriff's Human Trafficking Task Force makes arrest

WALKER, Mich. -- The Kent County Sheriff's Office Human Trafficking Task Force has arrested a Walker man on human trafficking-related charges

. Investigators say 47-year-old Jeremy Jonathan Byl was arraigned Monday on the following charges:

1: Prostitution/Transporting. Felony up to 20 years

2: Computers – Internet – Communicating with another to commit a crime. Felony up to 20 years

3: Aiding and Abetting (prostitution) – Misdemeanor

A KCSO news release says:

"Byl, a 47 year-old Walker resident is employed as a custodian through Grand Rapids Building Services, assigned to the Holland High School. Currently, there is no information to indicate anyone in the schools are involved or students were targeted ... The investigation remains open and more charges are expected."
