GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Grand Rapids Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Thursday night along Front Avenue.
It happened around 7:40 near Wealthy Street and the Grand River. City police and fire/rescue crews responded.
Grand Rapids Fire Capt. William Smith says the pedestrian was a man. No further details about him or the train were available at the time of this report mid-morning Friday.
The crash and the circumstances leading up to are being investigated.
