WAYLAND, Mich. -- The City of Wayland has issued a precautionary boil-water advisory for some of its residents for the next 48 to 72 hours. It took effect at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
"Until we get it fixed and we get our bacteria tests (results) back with an all-clear," Wayland Utilities Director David Paul said.
He tells WOOD Radio a water main valve burst at the corner of S. Main Street at Pine Street. He said the advisory is from the intersection of Sycamore Street/South Main Street to Superior Street at South Main, as well as South Main at the corner of Pine Street to the Pine Street/Pearl Street intersection.
The City of Wayland gets its water samples tested at B&B Water/Wastewater Consultants Inc. in Wayland.
