MUSKEGON, Mich. -- Police in Muskegon confirm a 15-year-old boy was shot dead late Wednesday morning.
It happened in the 1400 block of Jiroch Street, south of Irwin Avenue.
Police say officers arrived at the scene around 10:50 a.m. to find the Muskegon teen had been shot in the torso. He died at the scene moments later.
Muskegon Police says their detectives are conducting an investigation into how it happened and who fired the gun.
