It happened sometime before 9 o'clock on North Division Avenue just north of 13 Mile Road. The Sheriff's Office says a passing motorist spotted a 36-year-old Sparta man lying along the roadway. He suffered serious injuries, including broken bones.

When Sparta Fire Department located the patient he still had a yellow reflective vest and headlamp illuminated.
