Kentwood PD detectives investigating bogus 911 call about shooting

KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Kentwood Police detectives are investigating a bogus 9-1-1 phone call about a supposed shooting and several victims this morning at a home on 48th Street east of Division Avenue.

Police say it was just a swatting incident and no one was injured. The bogus call came from an unknown source at 5:37 a.m. The Kent County Sheriff's Office also assisted with the call. The location of the supposed shooting was the 300 block of 48th St. SE, which is a few blocks east of S. Division Ave.
