GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss will deliver her annual State of the City address next Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock.
It will reflect on the city’s successes from the past year and include her ideas for the future. The invitation-only event will be at Studio D2D on Hall Street. Bliss's eighth annual address will be live-streamed on the mayor's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/blissforgr.
Meanwhile, the city of Grand Rapids will hold a pair of community-engagement sessions next week to discuss public health and safety initiatives. The first one will be Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Goei Center on Butterworth Street. The second will run from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, at the main branch of the Grand Rapids Public Library downtown.
The National Civic League, in collaboration with the City's Public Safety Committee, is conducting the engagement sessions. They will be seeking citizen feedback
