CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Ottawa County Sheriff's investigators have arrested the wife of a man who was fatally shot on January 23rd in Crockery Township.
They say the 41-year-old woman will be charged with careless use of a firearm causing death and lying to a peace officer. She's lodged at the Ottawa County Jail pending arraignment. The Sheriff's Office says she was taken into custody without incident. Her name won't be released until after she is formally charged (arraigned).
The county Prosecutor's Office filed charges of Careless Use of a Firearm causing Injury/Death and Lying to a Peace Oficer.
Forty-one-year-old Keith Gardner died from a single gunshot wound to his torso following a domestic dispute at the home on 120th Avenue in Crockery Township.
