Snowfest to return to downtown Muskegon on Jan. 28

MUSKEGON, Mich. -- Muskegon's largest winter festival is coming up soon.

J-C-I Greater Muskegon hosts Snowfest, which will be on Saturday, Jan. 28. Euchre tournaments, snow volleyball and more are planned for the daylong event that kicks of at 9 a.m. inside and outside of the Trinity Health Arena. Local businesses throughout Downtown Muskegon are participating.

Snowfest will include the Battle of the Bowls Soup and Chili Cook-Off. That will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the arena. Tickets at the door are $15 for 10 tastings, or just $10 for 10 tastings during the presale. Here is a website link for online purchases.

And there will be kids-friendly activities, plus entertainment for adults, such as Muskegon Axe Throwing.

Teams of two will in Snow Cornhole competitions on Western Avenue, beginning at 10 a.m. Registration will be at Legends Bar & Grille at 9 a.m. The cost to participate is $40 per team of 2 and trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to first- and second-place teams.
