DETROIT -- A Michigan Congresswoman is calling for an investigation of Southwest Airlines after four days of numerous flight cancellations and delays.
There also have been big piles of unclaimed luggage.
Rashida Talib, the 13th District Democrat from Detroit, says she feels bad for the passengers impacted by the thousands of flight cancellations over the holidays. She also says the winter storm is not to blame, and Southwest's systems need to be updated to prevent that in the future.
Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines is reassuring its customers that everything is getting back to normal today. A statement from the airline says it expects "minimal disruptions" today.
Southwest's stock is starting to rebound. Shares in the airline fell about four dollars to 32-19 on Wednesday from last Friday's close. But shares rebounded on Thursday, closing up three-point-seven percent at 33-88 on signs the airline is finally recovering. The rebound followed some Wall Street analysts' reiterating their positive outlook for the stock, despite the mess.
