Judge rules WMU soccer players will stay on team despite vaccination status

A judge is ruling four Western Michigan University soccer players will remain on the team, despite refusing to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.

WMU implemented a requirement for all athletes to be vaccinated against COVID by August 31, or they would be removed for their team.

A judge issued a temporary restraining order on August 31 which required the women stay on the team while their case was heard.

The judge decided to keep the order in place indefinitely.
