GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A small protest took place Saturday afternoon to demand justice for 16-year-old Cornelius Fredrick, who died on May 1st from cardiac arrest after being restrained by staff members at Lakeside Academy in Kalamazoo.
The investigation stated in a release on Thursday that Frederick was "wrongfully restrained" and found ten other violations in the teen's death. The demonstration took place outside of Lakeside Academy.
