GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Hundreds flocked to downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday to peacefully protest police brutality in the wake of George Floyd's death.
The event began with the organizers speaking followed a march through downtown streets with the group chanting, "No justice, no peace. No crooked police." The city of Grand Rapids said that the demonstration was an "expressive speech activity" and was coordinated between the city, local law enforcement, and the event organizers.
