WAYLAND, Mich. (WOOD) -- Gun Lake Casino in Wayland will reopen on June 8th after shutting down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
New guidelines will be implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19 when the casino reopens. Some of those guidelines include:
- Limiting hours of operation from eight a.m. to three a.m. for those who are 21 or older.
- Requiring face masks.
- Limiting occupancy at table games.
- Only allowing use of every other slot machine, to keep visitors spaced apart.
- A three-part entry screening for visitors.
You can find out more about the reopening plan at gunlakecasino.com.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home order is still requiring casinos under state jurisdiction to stay closed through at least June 12th, but tribal casinos are not included in that jurisdiction. Tribes closed casinos voluntarily to prevent spreading COVID-19.
