World War II veteran donated funds to fix chruch bells in Grand Rapids

From our media partner at WOOD TV:

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — World War II veteran Ray Sikanas, who recently passed away at the age of 98, decided to give a generous donation of $3,000 to his childhood church of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Grand Rapids to keep the bells ringing for years to come.

About a year ago, the bells fell into unrepairable shape, but thanks to Sikanas' donation, the bells were able to get fixed just before his passing.
