Governor Gretchen Whitmer says she’s calling on the CEO of Facebook to stop attacks of violent and hateful speech.

The governor says users have been allowed to post certain Michigan lawmakers should be hung, sexually assaulted, and shot.

She says Facebook refuses to enforce its own basic community standards.

In a letter to Mark Zuckerberg, Governor Whitmer says Michigan police are doing what they can but Zuckerberg himself needs to address these issues.
