GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man who threatened a baby during a standoff in Grand Rapidsearlier this year was sentenced Thursday.
Chancy Cooper received credit for the 135 days he already served in jail. Therefore, he was released on Thursday, according to a court clerk.
In July, Cooper pleaded guiltyto assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer. As part of the plea deal, domestic violence and malicious destruction of personal property charges were dismissed.
