GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Tornado sirens went off in metro Grand Rapids Wednesday evening as a strong storm rushed through the area, prompting a tornado warning.
The warning for Kent, Ionia and Eaton counties has been allowed to expire. Ionia County is still under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 9 p.m. and the entire region is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 p.m.
The National Weather Service saysit seems like a tornado may have actually been on the tornado on the ground near Lowell, though we’re still waiting on confirmation of that.
