UPDATE: Missing Sisters Found Safe

UPDATE: Michigan State Police announced at 12:52 a.m. Tuesday that the girls had been found safe.

ORIGINAL STORY:

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are asking for the public's help to find two metro Grand Rapids girls who were last seen with their father, who may be in the midst of a mental health crisis.

Jenna Lynn Ypma, 9, is described as 4-foot-8 and 68 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears teal glasses and has braces. Her sister Alexis Lynn Ypma, 12, stands around 5-foot-1 and weighs around 100 pounds. She also has blonde hair and blue eyes, and has a scar on her left knee.
