KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating an early morning residential structure fire in Kalamazoo that left one dead.
At approximately 2:15 a.m. Sunday, public saftey officers responded to a fire in the 400 block of Wallace Avenue north of East Michigan Avenue in Kalamazoo County.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said the structure was unsafe for officers to enter because of heavy smoke and fire conditions, so officers tried putting out the fire from the outside.
