KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Deep snow and cold temperatures are tough on everyone, but for those who have no place to call home, the weather can be dangerous.
In response, several organizations have opened their doors for people to stay overnight.
Barb Hymel doesn’t have a home.
“So, I’m pretty cold,” she told 24 Hour News 8.
Hymel said her main priority is to stay warm, so she called Kalamazoo’s First Baptist Church home Monday night.
“It’s a blessing for these churches to do this for us," she said.
