Testimony begins in officer-involved shooting trial

PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) — The case of the former Mattawan officer accused of criminal wrongdoing in an officer-involved shooting is before a jury.

Chelsey Omilian faces a misdemeanor count of reckless use of a firearm.

As proceedings got underway in a Paw Paw courthouse Thursday, the prosecution and the defense painted very different pictures of what happened in November 2017 when she shot at a stolen car.
