5th suspect charged in E. Kentwood student's murder

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police have arrested and charged a fifth suspect in the murder of an East Kentwood High School student.

Sebastian Quinones, 17, was arrested around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday during a traffic stop at the intersection of Godfrey and Market avenues SW in Grand Rapids, police told 24 Hour News 8.

He was arraigned Thursday afternoon on charges of open murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

The charges are linked to the Jan. 13 shooting death of James King. According to court documents and King's cousin, the shooting happened as King and his cousin attempted to sell marijuana to the suspects.
