Police: Don't call 911 for fender benders

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The icy weather caused lots of crashes on West Michigan roads Tuesday. Police were trying to keep up, and they say drivers can help.

If you are in a minor crash, don't call police. Instead, exchange information and file a report later. It may seem strange, but as long as no one is injured and you can still drive your car, there is no need to wait on the road for an officer to respond.
