Ottawa County parks groups buy land to link trails

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Park officials are one step closer to connecting trails in Kent and Ottawa counties.

The Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission and Ottawa County Parks Foundation say they have purchased 16.5 acres of land along the Grand River in the Jenison area for $100,000, as well as an easement to connect it to park property on Cottonwood Drive for $10,000.
