Busted pipe leads to boil water advisory in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — For the second time in three days, Kalamazoo city officials are issuing a boil water advisory for businesses and residents.

In a Wednesday news release, the city said workers were repairing a water main break on Royce Avenue.  The busted pipe led to a loss in water pressure, sparking the advisory.

The city is encouraging people and businesses along Royce Avenue, from Moreland Street to Pennway Street, to boil their water for two minutes before consuming it. Water used for bathing and personal hygiene does not need to be boiled.
